Private parking for 2 cars. 1 small/medium-sized dog welcome. No smoking.. This detached holiday home lies just yards from the beach at one of Broadstairs’ beautiful bays, Dumpton Gap. A quiet gently sloping, sandy beach with promenade. At low tide walk along the beach to Ramsgate (check tide times), explore the rock pools for shrimps and crabs or take a stroll along the cliff top. Broadstairs offers restaurants, cafes and gift shops. Enjoy the regular summer fireworks displays and festivals, including Folk Week, or take to your bike and explore the beautiful 27 mile Viking Way. Alternatively Westwood Cross shopping, 2 miles, offers 53 stores, restaurants, cinema and casino. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Location was brilliant, the bungalow had everything we needed, and if we had a dog, it would have been very safe in the lovely size garden

This was my second stay at Owls Croft. What I really like about it is it's quiet location, and having an "adventurous" dog, you can pull up, close the gates behind you and open all of the car doors without having to worry where he is and what he's doing. What I didn't like this time was the cleanliness, or lack of it. I suspect that the property is cleaned between guests, but not nearly thoroughly enough. Without overstating things, we felt the need to wipe the fridge out, wipe the exterior of the kitchen cupboard doors, wipe the dust of the bedside table and chest of drawers, get rid of some of the cobwebs and moths from the bedroom, rinse the human hair from the bath and put our own sanitary bin liners in some of the bins. The worst aspect though, was the amount of hair on the carpets. Rubbing my rubber slipper sole over the carpet quickly produced a hairball the size of a human wig, causing my poor wife to gag! The pillows also had a peculiar smell! If the cleanliness improves I'd love to return. so I'll be keeping my eye of future reviews.

lovely bungalow could do with a few extra things and a bit more cleaning stuff but overall very nice oven on top not very clean.
