About this Pub Accommodation

The Crown Inn at Sarre village on Thanet is just minutes from Canterbury, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Birchington and Margate on the coast.  The Inn with two restaurants and all ensuite rooms is Grade I Listed and brimming with 15th century period charm and character.  We've recently refurbished with care retaining the inn's beautiful original features.  Guest rooms include a stunning Honeymoon Suite with four poster bed and exposed beams. Modern essentials such as WiFi and digital TV are available and enjoy fresh, locally sourced food and fine ales in our two restaurants, inclusive of restaurant menu, bar snacks and children's menu.  Ample parking is adjacent to the inn and room rates are very competitive.

Rooms

Rooms are furnished in a charming traditional coaching inn style, blended perfectly with modern comforts including en-suite facilities and WiFi. Each room has a refreshment tray with tea and coffee making facilities, a radio alarm clock, a direct dial telephone and a colour TV with over 100 digital channels.  Single occupancy is welcome.

Food & Drink

We have two restaurants - our main cosy restaurant seating up to 30 guests, which is perfect for all kinds of private functions and family meals.  We also have an informal bar restaurant which faces the garden and is ideal for business events/ lunches and visitors calling in for a snack, meal and drinks. Varied menus include a restaurant menu, children's menu and a range of bar snacks, made with locally sourced products where possible, and cooked fresh and to order.  Special diets are happily catered for on request and we serve a fine choice of beers, wines and spirits.

The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday, for lunch from 12 noon to 2.30pm, and for dinner from 6.30pm to 9pm.

Directions to the Crown Inn

By road from London, take the A299 towards Margate, and at the first roundabout follow the A28 Canterbury Road for around 1 mile.  You'll then see The Crown Inn just on the left hand side of the road. Our nearest railway station is Birchington.  Ferry services at Dover and Eurostar at Ashford are within an easy drive.
