Dead plants at the front of the house, dead plant in the kitchen. Overpowering plug in air freshener. Really unpleasant. Probably trying to mask awful smell from whatever a local farm was spraying on their fields. The smell was so,bad I couldnât sit in the garden.Very old, dirty and temperamental remote for tv. Everything was grey. More like a cheap rental property for a couple of students. No information or guide book of any kind. No rubbish bags. No cooking basics, not even salt and pepper. Clock not working. Really basic and not a cheery place to come back to. A shame as with some care it could be ok. Convenient for getting around. I didnât have a problem with parking.

Our 4 nights was enjoyable but plenty long enough. The cottage is comfortable enough for a short stay but we found the bed rather uncomfortable. Although we had to park elsewhere this was not an issue as there was space on the surrounding roads. The welcome pack was very generous and we were grateful for the tea , coffee and other nice touches provided. Some small points to note: Another bath towel would have been useful Some spare batteries would have been handy as the clock and the tv remote are in need of new ones.
