About this Hotel

A large Folkestone hotel on The Leas overlooking the Channel, The Southcliff offers a warm welcome, all ensuite rooms with great value nightly rates and a range of facilities including in-house entertainment.  Perfect for business meetings, weddings and celebrations, we have a super stylish Bar serving a wide range of wines, beers and spirits.  Free WiFi is available in all public areas.  The Ocean Ballroom with fantastic large dance floor and ample seating areas caters for private functions up to 200/250 guests.  The hotel is ideally placed just moments from The Leas Cliff Hall and a short walk from beaches and town centre shops and amenities.  Folkestone Harbour is within a 10 minute walk.  The Channel Tunnel is just a 10 minute drive away, and Dover Port is within a 20 minute drive.

Rooms

Our large hotel has a choice of room types including double, twin and single rooms.  Lift access is available to all floors.  Some come with wonderful sea views.  B&B or Room Only rates are available.  All rooms include en-suite bathrooms with towels and toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and TVs.  The hotel dates from the Victorian era, and has been tastefully modernised, retaining many period features including high ceilings.  Value rooms (inland facing) are available on request.

Dining, Bar & Ballroom

Full English and buffet breakfast options are included in booking price.  A wide choice of delicious meals are served in our spacious dining area, accompanied by an extensive wine list. 

The Ocean Ballroom holding up to 250 guests is the perfect space for celebrations and events including parties, dinner dances, wedding receptions and birthday celebrations.  The Ballroom contains its own well stocked private bar, quieter seating areas and all necessary amenities for the perfect event.

Wedding receptions are warmly welcomed - seating capacity is up to 200 guests.  We happily cater for large and more intimate wedding parties.  Live music/ a stage and a licensed bar are available.  Extras such as DJs, musicians, catering and florists are all happily organised on request.
