About this Pub Accommodation

Situated in the heart of the beautiful Garden of England, The Dog and Bear is a welcoming 17th century inn which has been recently refurbished to the highest standards throughout. The property dates back to 1602 and was visited by Queen Anne in 1704 - her coat of arms is displayed above the front door. We are ideally placed for both business and leisure stays with plenty of amenities and attractions to be found closeby.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

We have a choice of classic double or twin room, classic family rooms, classic single rooms, superior family rooms, superior double or twin rooms and feature four poster room. All our room rates include breakfast and each room is well equipped with Sky TV, a hair dryer, radio alarm clock, tea/ coffee making supplies, a work desk and telephone.

Restaurant/ Bar

Our restaurant is well known for the first rate food served which is created where possible using local produce. We serve a traditional roast dinner, other main meals plus a range of light bites and bar snacks. Sandwiches are served from Midday to 6pm and we offer a Young Diners menu for under 12s. Our range of drinks includes Shepherd Neame Cask Ales and an international wine list.

Other Facilities

We can cater for private parties, wedding receptions and business meetings of up to 50 attendees/ guests. A full bar and catering service can be provided and our facilities are housed in our dedicated function suite.

Enjoy live sports with a pint of Kentish ale in the bar which also has a pool table and darts.

Around and About

We are situated short drive from the Eurostar terminal at Ashford and a 10 minute drive from historic Leeds Castle. We also provide a well equipped base for guests exploring the Kent Downs and other places of interest nearby include Maidstone. Motorway links such as the M20 and M2 can be found nearby.

Our rates start from £70 per classic double or twin room per night. Children under 16 years old are charged at £10 per night when staying in one of our family rooms.
