This grand, charming self-catering holiday home offers the chance to step back time to enjoy a time reminiscent of that detailed in such stories as Jane Erye. Traditionally furnished as one would expect with many special touches to make the holiday cottage feel like home. A spacious regal sitting room, quite the tranquil haven with original fireplace and huge floor to ceiling windows and doors that open onto a large conservatory.

The large country kitchen has been beautifully finished with high quality fixtures and fittings with a more modern feel and has every conceivable appliance including a Rangemaster five ring cooker with Cooker hood . A long refectory oak table surrounded by chairs is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a feast with family or friends.

The formal dining area, again offering a captivating feel of a bygone era, offers wood paneling and a full length dining table which seats 20 comfortably.

Upstairs the four bedrooms offer ample space, many considered suites, carefully furnished in keeping with the house and all have plenty of wardrobes and storage space. The three bathrooms make it the ideal place for larger groups of family and friends to base their stay either for a short break or a longer family holiday and with the added bonus of The Wing, which sleeps 6, there is room for everyone.(please ask for more details on the wing)

There is parking for several cars on the private sweeping driveway and a beautifully kept 2 acre garden for you to enjoy with breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline and Walmer Castle. Accommodation

Glen Hill House: sleeps 16 in 7 bedrooms,1 family bathroom, 2 en-suite shower/bath-rooms,1 downstairs WC. Various reception areas, kitchen, dining room, conservatory, sitting room. A main house and connecting annex which links with the main house on two levels but also has separate access. WiFi available in the main house.

The Main House (sleeping 10 in 4 bedrooms)

Ground Floor

The entry to the house leads into a lobby area. A passage from the lobby connects to the annex.

Kitchen: separate range-master with five ring gas cooker with electric ovens and extractor hood, microwave, small fridge, dishwasher, breakfast table which seats 10.

Utility room, washing machine, dryer, large fridge / freezer and walk in pantry. A downstairs WC leads from the utility room.

Grand Reception Rooms, up 4 steps

Drawing room, with seating for 10, original working fireplace, French doors lead to conservatory, TV/ DVD player 

Dining room, table seats up to 20, original fire place with electric fire, piano (poor condition) access to the music room/ play room is through this room.

Conservatory, tables seat at least 10 guests, with views of grounds and Walmer Castle. Please note, this room is not heated.

Mezzanine Level:

Twin bedroom (sleeps 3) on three single beds, original fire place. En-suite bathroom with hand held shower, additional door, doubles up as a guests cloakroom. Another door connects to a hidden staircase leading to the master bedroom in the annex.

First Floor

Junior master double (sleeps 2) king size bed, TV. En-suite bathroom with a roll top ball and claw bath, separate shower cubicle

Second Floor

Master suite (sleeps 2) in super king-size bed, French doors to a balcony, extensive views of the grounds. En-suite shower room 

Twin bedroom (sleeps 2) in two single beds, bay window with original slatted blinds, large wardrobe, original fire place.

The Annex (sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms), benefits from its own living, dining and kitchen area.
