Guests say

The Honey House receives high praise for its peaceful setting, cleanliness, and dog-friendly features, including an enclosed garden and dedicated paddock. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, cosy accommodation and the warm welcome from both the owner and the resident goats. The location is ideal for exploring Kent and nearby seaside towns. While most found the bed comfortable, a few mentioned it was too firm for their preference. Some minor suggestions included improved WiFi and more comfortable seating. Overall, guests enjoyed a relaxing and memorable stay, with many planning to return.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with numerous guests describing the property as spotlessly clean, well-presented, and maintained to a high standard. Only one review mentioned a desire for a deeper clean in some areas, but this was a rare exception.

The location is frequently praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local attractions, and suitability for exploring Kent. Guests enjoyed the peaceful countryside setting and easy access to beaches and villages. A few noted the lack of footpaths on the road, but this did not detract significantly from their experience.

Most guests found the accommodation comfortable, cosy, and well-suited for couples and their pets. The bed was generally liked, though a handful of guests found it too firm. The quiet environment and secure outdoor spaces added to the overall comfort.

Facilities are well regarded, with guests noting the well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, secure parking, and dog-friendly amenities. Minor suggestions included improved WiFi, more comfortable seating, and small kitchen additions, but these did not overshadow the positive feedback.

Many guests appreciated the welcome packs and thoughtful touches, such as treats for both humans and dogs. It should be noted that while gifts and welcome hampers are frequently mentioned, they cannot be guaranteed for every stay.

What an amazing place! Perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. The accommodation is very comfortable, well equipped, clean and so quiet. We felt totally at home and the fully enclosed patio area and dedicated paddock were brilliant for the dogs. Adults loved the enthusiastic welcome from the goats! Plenty of parking. Sandwich, Deal, Dover all very close and basics available in the village.A real find in the Kent Countryside.

This is a really lovely holiday let for a relaxing break for 2 people and a dog. It was really clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed and sofa and good shower and welcome pack.Louise ( the owner) is lovely and available for any concerns but does not intrude on privacy. The goats are amazing and we miss their friendly welcome as we came and went - they love rich tea biscuits which Louise said they could have. Eastry is a small village but well stocked shop and a really good bakery where we sat outside and had coffee and cake. Sandwich is a nice town with plenty to see and do and well worth a visit as is Deal - both easy to get to by car or just relax in the peace and quiet. Of the countryside. Thank you Louise- we would happily come back in the future.

The Honey House is a lovely cottage, clean and well equipped kitchen. The Bee theme was really nice. Private and peaceful. The enclosed courtyard was ideal for the two dogs, they spent most of their time outside, except when we took them to the paddock. They were intrigued by the goats. We planned to go out daily, but just enjoyed being able to chill and relax where we were. The welcome pack was lovely and the dogs enjoyed the treats. We look forward to returning in the near future.
