We absolutely loved our time at The Broomes over Christmas this year. It’s a very clean, comfortable, well equipped and peaceful property in a great location. Parking was available outside on the road. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch as was the welcome pack. We will definitely book again!

What was good:LocationWell equipped Welcome card with wine, cake, milk and tea etcSmart TVWiFiWarmSpaciousInformation folderNot so good: On arrival we were met with an array of wheelie bins untidily kept at the front of the property. The front door to the property was grimey as was the hallway & stairs approaching the flat. The carpeting & paintwork was grimey, all the way up to the flat. On arrival to the flat we were encouraged as the flat door was welcoming as the owners had gone to the trouble of adding a Christmas door wreath. Plus inside there was a Christmas tree and festive ornaments for this festive time of year. On entering the flat there were strong smelling plug in air freshers that overpowered the air which once we removed made an improvement. But then the smell of fousty furnishings and what smelt like damp pervaded. Particularly in the bedroom. To the extent that we left a day early. On checking the photographs of the flat they are true to what we would expect but the external entry is not shown. We would not stay again.
