This charming end-of-terrace cottage in the picturesque coastal town of Whitstable is the perfect retreat for families or small groups with the dog in tow. Set on the coast of Kent within easy reach of the region’s picturesque beaches, vibrant shops and seafood eateries, guests have a wide choice of things to do from their doorstep. Explore the host town of Whitstable with its rich maritime history, working harbour and fish market, if you’re visiting in September then make sure to check out the annual Oyster Festival. Bikers will love the Crab and Winkle Way, a delightful 7.5-mile cycle ride between Whitstable and the city of Canterbury which starts at the end of your road. For memorable days on the beach, head to Whitstable Beach Front (0.5 miles), West Beach (1 mile) or Tankerton Beach (1 mile). And to see Kent’s most popular towns and cities, discover the seaside town of Herne Bay (5.5 miles), Canterbury (7 miles) or the famous resort of Margate (19 miles).
Formally a florist shop in the late 19th century, this inviting holiday home combines modern comforts with traditional charm. Welcoming guests is the small porch where you can kick off sandy boots before walking through to the stylish, open-plan living space. The lounge area, with two large sofas, one of which is a sofa-bed, Smart TV and fireplace, offers the perfect spot to unwind whilst the dog snoozes at your feet. Nearby is the dining table with ample space to enjoy meals cooked in the well-equipped kitchen next door, this stylish room also boasts the utilities needed to stay refreshed on your coastal getaway. Completing the ground floor is the modern bathroom with a shower over bath, and WC. At the end of the evening, head upstairs to retire to the two airy bedrooms; a double bedroom and a twin room, both with ample storage space for guests who always overpack.
Outside, there is a decked area with planted boarders with a colourful dining set and sunshade, the perfect spot to enjoy morning cuppas and al fresco dinners.
