About this property

Resting in the heart of Herne Bay, Kent is Baron's Mews, a fabulous, single-storey cottage, inviting four guests and a furry companion. Within walking distance to the beach and a hub of amenities, Baron's Mews offers a well-equipped base for couples, families, and friends, looking to explore the South of England. Benefit from two allocated parking spaces, before heading through the enclosed patio, and into your new abode. Be welcomed into the homely, open-plan living space, where you can prepare and enjoy meals, and unwind with the TV for entertainment. Make the most of your outdoor space, securely designed for your four-legged friend, where you can bask in the sunshine and enjoy a barbecue with your favourite tipple in hand. Retire to bed, selecting between a king-size and a twin, both with TVs and serviced by the sleek wet room. Come morning, start your itinerary in the local area, where you can visit The Seaside Museum Herne Bay, people watch from Herne Bay Pier, or enjoy a beachside stroll along Herne Bay Beach, before stocking up on the essentials or dining out, selecting between the likes of The Ship Inn, The Green Door Deli, and Salt and Light bistro. Herne Bay also hosts a Saturday market, where you can purchase artisan cakes and breads, free range eggs and flowers from local suppliers. Follow the coastline along to tour the grand grounds of Whitstable Castle & Gardens, head to the Harbour Market Whitstable, showcasing a range of locally-produced arts and crafts, or discover Whitstable Beach Front where you can also partake in a Whitstable Oyster Tour. For nature lovers, be sure to pack your walking boots to hike through either East Blean Woods, or the Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve, whilst the cathedral city of Canterbury is reachable by car, brimming with museums and cultural attractions to enjoy, such as the Canterbury Roman Museum and The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge. Experience the best of Kent at Baron's Mews.

Herne Bay has been a popular holiday destination for many years. With its award-winning shingle beach and restored Victorian memorial gardens, this offers families the perfect, relaxing holiday location. Herne Bay's seafront is home to the world's first freestanding purpose-built Clock Tower, built in 1837 which looks down onto the well-kept promenade. As expected when visiting an English seaside town, there are many eateries serving everything from traditional fish and chips to exotic delicacies, and of course, no seaside town is complete without an ice cream parlour and Herne Bay has two! The historic city of Canterbury is only 7 miles away, with its famous cathedral and historic past, offering theatres, museums and art galleries as well as shops, restaurants, and trips along the river. For a day of cobbled streets and browsing around quaint little shops, then make for Whitstable, famous for its Oyster festival and a popular harbour town at any time of year. Herne Bay is ideally situated for exploring this part of the Kent coast.

Shower a bit crampt , all in all we had a fantastic stay in Herne Bay.

Michelle and Alan made exceptional efforts to see that we had everything we needed and the essential extras in the fridge were really appreciated. We would highly recommend this cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in an ideal location being in walking distance to the town and by the sea. Gaenor and Philip

Beautifully presented with everything you may need provided, comfortable beds, and lounge furniture. Adequate outside space either a sunny courtyard or a secondary space in the shade. All in all a very good holiday rental.
