Guests say

The Rochester Lodge in Canterbury is a well-regarded holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the dog-friendly environment and the proximity to the town and coast. The lodge is described as spacious, well-equipped, and offering privacy amidst natural surroundings. While some guests noted areas for improvement, the majority would recommend the lodge and plan to return, highlighting the friendly staff and the overall relaxing experience.

Most guests found the lodge to be very clean, with spotless bathrooms and well-maintained surroundings. A few comments mentioned minor cleaning oversights, but these do not detract significantly from the overall high standards of cleanliness.

The lodge's location is highly praised for its tranquility and convenience to Canterbury, with easy access to shops and the coast. The peaceful setting surrounded by farmland is a highlight for many guests.

Guests generally find the lodge comfortable, with spacious rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. Some guests mentioned basic or slightly uncomfortable furniture, but these comments are few compared to the overall positive feedback on comfort.

The lodge is appreciated for its good facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and a welcome pack. However, some guests noted the need for maintenance and updates, such as fixing flickering bulbs and rickety furniture.

While guests have mentioned a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to determine the consistency of such thoughtful gestures, and as such, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

We do love going to Canterbury Reach Lodge, this was our fourth visit. It is not a place to go if you are looking for party club houses because there isn't one. This is the place to go to recharge your batteries and you can bring your dog along too. It's only a few minutes drive to the town and not too far from the coast. The staff are very friendly too.
