Gamekeeper’s Cottage is perfect for couples who want to spend some quality time together; those in need of peace and escape can wander around their own ’Garden of Eden’, before exploring the beautiful countryside and nearby coast – the best Kent has to offer. For me a great place to have a break on my own.Good equipment including frying pans!Main attraction is the big walled garden- to enjoy the sun and birdsong and relax in solitude.Went to goodnestone gardens for the first time- 10 minute drive or a walk over the hill. The cottage is very small, smaller than it appears in the images. The bedroom is rather cramped with just room to edge around the bed. We had a nice few days there and it was warm and cozy, but I think it could be claustrophobic for any longer. The basics are in the kitchen area and the bathroom is nice with a large shower. Also the main access road had many deep potholes and the access to Gamekeepers cottage itself was only possible by walking across a wet muddy garden. A path or stepping stones would be a good idea.

A nice cosy stay. The only criticism would be the shower pressure was a bit weak. The property could do with a little TLC, but we put it down to it being early in the season. The bed was comfy and loved that I could still chat with hubby whilst he sat on the sofa. 😄
