Set on the fringes of the High Weald National Landscape and close to the historic town of Rye, this fantastic safari tent offers the ultimate off-grid escape. Sleeping up to ten guests, the safari tent and additional bell tent combine to create a great base for families planning days of coastal and countryside adventure together. Discover the cobbled streets of Rye (4 miles), lined with antique shops, quaint cafes and restaurants. Afterwards, climb the Ypres Tower for panoramic views over the River Rother and Romney Marsh. The market town of Tenterden (8.5 miles) plays host to the Kent & East Sussex Railway, which cuts across the national landscape and leads to historic Bodiam (16 miles), famous for its 14th-century moated castle. Elsewhere, popular seaside spots perfect for beach days and coastal walks include Camber Sands, Galloway's Beach and Winchelsea Beach (all within 14 miles).
Before stepping into this off-grid escape, take a moment to appreciate its beautiful position on a peaceful family farm, which sets the scene for a quiet rural stay. Cross the decking and head into the safari tent, where you’ll be greeted by an open-plan living space that combines the lounge, kitchen and dining area. The rustic kitchen, combined with your private outdoor kitchen, offers everything needed for a self-catered stay. Enjoy each mealtime at the long wooden table inside or dine alfresco out on the decking. After each meal, retreat to the lounge area and bask in the glow of the wood burner. Completing the tent are three restful bedrooms, served by a family shower room: a four-poster king-size room, a double bedroom and a family room with two bunk beds. For added flexibility, a separate bell tent is positioned outside and can sleep up to two additional guests.
Step outside as often as possible and make full use of the covered decking area. Here, soft outdoor seating invites morning coffees and evening tipples. Beyond the decking, an outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ and pizza oven awaits, while the private wood-fired hot tub and fire pit invite late nights of stargazing. Private parking for one car completes the offering, making arrivals and day trips stress-free.
