One of two spacious and off-grid safari tents set on quiet farmland; this is the ultimate outdoor retreat for family and friends. Beyond your tent, many walking trails wind through the surrounding countryside or along the coast, including through the High Weald National Landscape, 19 miles away. Just 4 miles away, you can explore the historic town of Rye and its nature reserve, a unique coastal landscape that’s home to incredible wildlife. Or you could climb St Mary’s Church tower for panoramic views across the town. Within 8 miles, enjoy family beach days and wander through the famous dunes at Camber Sands. For some retail therapy, head to Tenterden (8.5 miles) and browse its independent boutiques and cafes. Or for some interesting local history, hop aboard the Kent & East Sussex Railway and experience a nostalgic journey to Bodiam Castle (15 miles).

Open the glass bi-fold doors to the single-storey safari tent to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Comfortable seating is arranged around the wood burner, ideal for cool evenings, and a large dining table and chairs seat up to eight guests. The kitchen area is fully equipped and has a two-ring gas hob, fridge, and coffee machine, providing everything you need for preparing family meals. Walk through the lounge and kitchen area to the bedrooms, sleeping up to eight guests. On the left is the cabin room with a double cabin bed, accessed via a ladder, with a children’s snug area beneath it. Opposite is a versatile twin zip-and-link room that can be converted into a king-size upon request. Further along, there are two additional rooms: one with a four-poster, king-size bed, and the other with bunk beds. At the rear of the tent on the decked area is a shower room with WC.

Return to the front of the tent and step outside onto a covered decked area where you can sip your morning coffee on the patio chairs. To the rear of the tent, there’s an outdoor kitchen and bar area, a gas BBQ, griddle, and pizza oven. Step down to the fire pit and toast marshmallows, a fun activity that children will love, as the night draws in. A private wood-fired hot tub completes this perfect outdoor space. Guests have access to private parking for two cars along the farm track.

- Please note, access to the tent is via a farm track, low slung cars will struggle

- As the tent is off-grid, the lighting, fridge, and a USB port are powered by solar and 12v batteries, no other electrical items can be used – please bring power banks or charge your devices in your car as a backup

- Outside lights are kept to a minimum to preserve the “Dark Sky”, so guests can enjoy an optimal stargazing experience

- There are 2 tents on site approx 60 meters apart, both tents can be booked to sleep up to 16 people with sole exclusivity of the site if booked together
