Yar Cottage is a charming semi-detached holiday cottage located in the town of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. The cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms, including one double and twin. The rest of the cottage is made up of a ground floor bathroom, a bright kitchen with dining area, and a comfortable sitting room. To the outside of the cottage there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed lawned garden that can be reached from the French doors in the kitchen, complete with furniture and a barbecue. Yar Cottage is a delightful cottage in a fantastic area, ideal for families and friends looking for a seaside holiday.

Around and About

The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings. Yarmouth’s narrow streets are home to an array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry viii’s castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling and walking to be had along the coastal path, or why not take an energetic stroll across to the nearby Tennyson Down? Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, and is ideal for swimming and crabbing from the jetty. 4 miles away is Compton beach, famous for dinosaur remains; go there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.

The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker’s paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.
