About this property

This delightful beachfront Yarmouth coastal cottage apartment offers a tranquil and rustic open plan living accommodation with superb panoramic coastal views across the Solent towards Lymington from the upper floor. Once an old boathouse, this Yarmouth cottage now boasts a loft-style bedroom, while on the ground floor you can recharge on the comfy sofas. From your patio door, take a relaxing walk along the shingle beach and enjoy the ever-changing scenery the Solent has to offer. An ideal, coastal and romantic retreat. Note: This apartment can be booked with Refs. 4220, 4221, 4222, 905106, 905107 and 906577, together they sleep 20.

The attractive seaside town of Yarmouth is the oldest town on the Isle of Wight, and its busy harbour is a haven for all kinds of watercraft, with the terminal used for regular mainland ferry crossings. Yarmouth's narrow streets are home to an array of shops and inns, whilst a visit to Henry viii's castle is not to be missed. There's great cycling and walking to be had along the coastal path, or why not take an energetic stroll across to the nearby Tennyson Down? Sandhard beach is 15 minutes' walk away, and is ideal for swimming and crabbing from the jetty. 4 miles away is Compton beach, famous for dinosaur remains; go there at low tide and see if you can find the two enormous three-toed feet. West Wight is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Yarmouth is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful island.

John always gives a warm welcome & is on hand if there are any issues. We have always found it clean and tidy and it offers home from comforts - everything you need. The location is stunning and year after year we return, beautiful sunsets, cafe next door, woodland walks and close to swimming beaches. 100% recommended.

    5. I think that says it all really. And guess what....we will be back!

The Boathouse was great location and loved walking into Yarmouth. Only negative which was nothing to do with John, was people staying in other boathouses let their dogs roam freely and then shouted at them come back! We will return if ever come back to Isle of Wight xx
