Nearby you will find the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary where you can meet the rescued animals, followed by the Amazon World Zoo which houses over 200 species and the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown, home to exotic animals and previously featured on ITV’s ‘Tiger Island’. Be sure to take time out to visit the village of Godshill with its charming model village and picturesque Munsley Bog, it is well-worth a visit. For a holiday with something for everyone, look no further than The Hideaway.

"The hosts were wonderful, the scenery is divine. The cottage is so beautiful and well equipped. Theyâve thought of everything. The WiFi is poor due to the location but a week away from internet was bliss. But not if you need to have access."
"A glass of wine in the hot tub looking out to the sea, was bliss after a long day exploring. The Owners were very friendly with nothing too much trouble. Tea, cakes and shortbread in the garden on arrival was most welcome. The jams Gill made and gave us were amazing, and enjoyed by my family when we got home. Thank you Philip and Gill for allowing us to stay in your lovely holiday cottage. We loved our stay."
"It was comfortable and homely so we felt relaxed and at ease. The week was very hot but the cottage was a lovely cool retreat. I particularly enjoyed the gardens both sun and shade, and felt I didn't need to go anywhere, it reminded me of a weeks yoga retreat I had done earlier in the year. My husband particularly enjoyed the hot tub. It was 5 minutes walk to the coastal path which was wonderdul."
"The views were to die for and we will never forget how beautiful it all was. Enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, and were warmly welcomed with tea and home made cakes on the lawn. Phillip and Gill are perfect hosts, and I got the recipe for her shortbread, a really nice couple. There is quite a bit to do and see on the island, we visited Osbourne house, the Needles the botanical gardens at Ventnor, a local roman villa, the beaches, esplanades, we appreciated the slightly slower pace of life away from the mainland."
"Thank you to our kind hosts for a lovely welcome. Enjoyed every minute. The perfect spot for a relaxing break on the Isle of Wight."
"The cottage was quirky and comfortable with everything we needed, including plenty of towels and a towel drier rail which was well used as we used the hot tub daily.. bliss! There was no mobile signal and rarely a wifi signal which we actually liked in order to get away from screens and technology but did miss the ability to use the internet to help plan our days and check the British weather! Gill and Philip were fantastic hosts and welcomed us on arrival with tea and delicious home made cakes on the lawn, welcome gifts of wine, milk, 'Hideaway shortbread' and a local newspaper which helped us settle in. We were also kindly invited to join in with their Jubilee party which was lovely to meet some local people and find out more about the Isle of Wight and of course sample more of Gill's homemade treats! We would love to stay again - thanks so much for your hospitality and kindness!"
"Beautiful gardens and a hot tub for stargazing the clear night skies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
"We would prefer to be totally private but it wasnât a problem. Canât imagine when Philip and Gill get to enjoy it. Biggest problem was directions to get there. No mention of what to do at East Cowes or Ryde. Just said Church Road, Shanklin to Bonchurch Road. No mention of donât go into Luccombe. Church Road turns into Cowleaze Hill and entrance to Luccombe Farm is half way along the straight bit. Directions didnât say contact owners to say time of arrival to help with the timing of the beautiful cakes Gill welcomed us with."
"Charming hosts, very helpful and knowledgeable."
"The property was very clean and had everything you needed. It is located in a beautiful setting very close to the coast path and amazing views from the garden."
