This cottage enjoys a quiet location in a sleepy hamlet just outside the popular seaside village of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight s south coast. Shanklin comprises two distinctive areas the picturesque old village and the bustling seafront. In the old village thatched cottages and quaint tearooms sit alongside gift shops and several pubs. From here the beach can be accessed via the tree-lined gorge of Shanklin Chine which is lit up by fairy lights in the evenings. Once at the seafront visitors will find a sandy beach behind which there is a row of cafes ice cream parlours amusements and an adventure golf course. The main entrance of this cottage opens directly into the spacious lounge where large patio doors flood the room with light and deep sofas provide a comfortable spot for guests to enjoy the TV/DVD and the cosy glow of the wood burner effect gas fire. From this room two steps lead up to the kitchen/diner another generously-sized room which is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washer/dryer. The two bedrooms meanwhile are both thoughtfully styled rooms the first of which is a king-size room with its own TV. The second bedroom is a pretty twin zip-and-link room with a beamed ceiling which can be made up as a super-king-size room on request. The bathroom which is finished in a contemporary style offers a shower over bath and WC. The patio doors in the lounge open out onto an enclosed patio garden which is bordered by mature plants and for which a table and chairs sun loungers and a BBQ are provided. A summer house in the garden is ideal for storing bikes and there is a parking space for one car just outside the cottage s garden gate.
