Clarendon House is a spacious and bright five bedroom family home located in the charming village of Shanklin. Whether you want to dream your days away on the sandy beach or explore the many attractions on the island, this will be the perfect base.

Inside, the house has been beautifully furnished in a traditional style, enhancing the house’s beautiful period features. Downstairs you’ll find an incredibly spacious living area finished with leather sofas and large feature windows looking out into the garden. When you feel like cooking up a storm, the farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with all the necessary mod cons. Upstairs, the five bedrooms provide the perfect places to rest your weary head after a busy day.

Accommodation

The property is located in the quaint Shanklin Old Village, an area within Shanklin, famed for its good weather and sandy beach. The area contains some of the oldest dwellings with the majority of them thatched. It is on a slightly lower level than the town of Shanklin and is famous for its small gift shops and tea rooms. The seafront is the focal point of the town with a wealth of good Restaurants, Bistro's, Cafe's and Pubs all providing a wide and varied choice of food and drink to cater for all tastes. In the summer months a small road train provides a service to the town centre and Old Village. Steephill Cove, Monks Bay and Devils Chimney are local, famous tourist attractions which are within easy reach from the property.The nearby Luccombe Chine, a wooded coastal ravine, serves as a geological and visitor attraction just south of the village of Luccombe. The house has direct access to miles of country walks and a coastal path running between the villages of Shanklin and Ventnor, perfect for long days exploring the vast countryside. The coastal path also provides access to Bonchurch, Shanklin and Ventnor Beaches.
