While some mention the décor is a little dated and note occasional cleaning or maintenance issues, most guests thoroughly enjoy their stay and look forward to returning.
Most guests found the property clean and welcoming, though a few noted issues such as dust, cobwebs, and the need for more attention to windows and conservatory supports. Owners have responded positively to feedback.
The cottage is praised for its quiet, peaceful setting with lovely views and easy access to walks, local amenities, and the coast. The approach road is narrow and unadopted, but this does not detract from the overall appeal.
Guests consistently mention the spaciousness and comfort of the house, with plenty of room for families and dogs. Some found the beds firm but still slept well, and the property is described as homely and relaxing.
The cottage is well equipped with kitchen essentials, towels, WiFi, and garden furniture. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues, such as dated décor, a noisy boiler, and a missing fridge shelf, but overall facilities are highly rated.
Guests appreciated thoughtful touches like dog bowls, fans during hot weather, and a basket of local information. While some amenities are highlighted, gifts or extras are not guaranteed.

Our 3rd visit to Sandrock, what’s not to like lovey quiet location. Well equipped house. I see as from next year there will be a charge for dogs. This is disappointing as there’s been no charge before. I’d probably think twice about returning because of the additional cost. With the cost of the ferry it all mounts up to a very expensive stay.

Lovely week spent at Sandrock.Plenty of space inside and out.The first night we thought we would struggle with the double bed because it's quite firm but we both had the best sleep in a long time Quiet location. We had the pleasure of seeing a bird of prey land on the telegraph pole several times and also a nightly visit from Mr. Mole who happily dug a new mound of earth ready for us each morning.Beautiful view across the downs. Our dog was very happy with her stay also. Drink bowl was available outside. There were leaflets with ideas of what to go out and see or do so if you have not planned ahead have a nosey inside the basket in the hallway.Lovely big porch for winter stays where you can kick off wet shoes and hang coats. We had a great week and after a long day out and about we were happy chilling at Sandrock in the evenings.Best local pub food we found was at Three Bishops!
