The Maltings in Freshwater offers a comfortable and spacious stay with easy access to local amenities and the beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, private parking, and the property's proximity to walking routes. While some guests have highlighted areas for improvement, the majority have enjoyed their stay, with several returning customers and positive remarks about the property's location and facilities.
Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. Some guests found the property to be clean and well-presented, while others reported issues with cleanliness, including dust and cobwebs. The property seems to require more consistent attention to detail in cleaning.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local shops, and bus routes. Guests find it convenient for both walking and exploring the Isle of Wight, making it an ideal spot for holidaymakers.
Guests generally find the property comfortable, with good quality beds and a warm atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned that the sofas were not very comfortable, which suggests room for improvement in the living area.
Facilities are well-regarded, particularly the well-equipped kitchen. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a non-functional dishwasher and outdated appliances. These issues have slightly marred the otherwise positive experiences.
Several guests have mentioned a warm welcome and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack with food essentials. While these gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

Convenient for walking to the beach and the porch out the back is an excellent addition since our last visit.

The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of wardrobe space. It is well equipped but rather cluttered in the kitchen and we had to make space to store our own food and drinks. On entering the property we found the sinks in the kitchen had not been cleaned and in one sink were 2 soggy dirty tea towels and in the other a vase filled with soapy water. On the table in the living room there was an empty box and packaging which had contained cakes. When we arrived the key was not in the key safe, it was in the door.

The house is quite spacious, and the bedrooms are lovely, having been redecorated since our last visit, I think. A very well equipped, if not slightly cluttered, kitchen. A new oven had just been delivered, and so this is probably why there was maybe one piece of furniture too many, to make room for the nice new range. We didn't used the front decking area, which could do with some tlc, but is nicely positioned for the sun. Very good value for the size and location.
