We had a wonderful stay at The Carthouse. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly friendly and welcomingâ The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, warm, and extremely comfortable. The best-equipped self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Everything you could possibly need for a week's stay, and more, was provided. The location on a working farm just outside Shorwell is beautiful and peaceful, offering stunning countryside views and a lovely atmosphere. The large, enclosed garden was a real bonus. Also i have to mention the wonderful shop in Brighstone, a fantastic local shop with everthing you need. Itâs also perfectly situated for exploring the best parts of the Isle of Wight. We cannot recommend The Carthouse highly enough and are already planning our return visit!"

It is well furnished and comfortable. The owners are pleasant and listen to any shortcomings that we mentioned which were put right very quickly. The property is situated within lovely countryside and easy reach of the main shopping area at Newport.
