The Turbine Barn is nestled beside the beautiful River Test in Hampshire. An unusual renovated turbine mill with 3 bedrooms blends into an oasis of nature. Walks and relaxation are the order of the day here!

A unique opportunity to stay in the converted Turbine Barn on the banks of the famous River Test, with its crystal clear shallow waters bubbling right next to the property. The Turbine was built c.1925 as a water powered sawmill and remnants of the lifting equipment have been left in situ. It also used to generate some electricity for Middleton House locally but was finally disconnected in 2005, when the flows in the River Test were so low that only enough power for one bulb could be produced! The sawmill stopped cutting in 1955 and since then has been used as a workshop and office; before converting to holiday accommodation in 2017.

Enjoy riverside drinks and meals on the patio and look directly out over the river from your bedroom and living room. There's also an amazing old character fishing lodge on the opposite bank of the river used during the day by fishermen. Three comfortable bedrooms make for flexible sleeping accommodation for families and children. A lovely open plan kitchen and dining room open out onto a gravelled terrace right next to the river. The property is all on one level and there's plenty of parking.

The village of Longparish is within walking distance, where the Cricketers Pub serves welcome drinks and good local food. The property will suit walkers, nature lovers or those just needing a country break in a beautiful Hampshire holiday rental secluded from reality.
