About this property

Tucked away within the heart of the riverside town of Lymington, just a short walk from the High Street, lies this characterful, grade II listed end-of-terrace cottage, The Blue House. Presented to a lovely standard, retaining many of its original features since its construction in 1840, this is a fabulous choice for a family or group of six eager to enjoy the many attractions in this popular area. As you step into the cottage you get a sense of character and quality; discover the living/dining room, boasting the original floorboards and sash windows, here you can relax upon the sofa, discussing the day’s events or flicking through the TV for a good movie. Assist the designated chef in the galley-style kitchen, utilising a range of appliances such as the electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, plus there’s even a washing machine so you can put your muddy clothes on a spin! Serve the fruits of your labour at the dining table and pop open a bottle of fizz and toast to a long-awaited getaway with your nearest and dearest! As the night rolls in, head to the first floor to find the master bedroom, offering a king-size bed and feature fireplace, while on the second floor there are two further double bedrooms, one of which boasts views of the Isle of Wight. Serving the bedrooms is the beautiful family bathroom, boasting a feature freestanding bath with shower over, where you can prepare for the day ahead, or relax after a day exploring. To the exterior of this Lymington cottage is an enclosed garden patio, offering seating where you can chat away into the night with a favourite drink in hand. Wander through the streets of Lymington and you can expect to find a wealth of boutiques and independent shops, so you can purchase a gift to take back home, along with many fine eateries ranging from cute cafés to gastro pubs and fine dining restaurants, so you are sure to find something to suit all tastes and pockets! There’s also a Waitrose supermarket just down the road where you can pick up any essentials and gather the ingredients for a hearty feast. Pop on your walking boots and venture to the wonderful New Forest National Park, where you can explore miles of walking and cycling routes surrounded by luscious landscapes, with plenty of wildlife and history to uncover. Catch a ferry to the Isle of Wight, where you can explore this pocket sized island, boasting glorious beaches and seafront promenades for a sunny afternoon, plus historical landmarks and a number of pretty villages to visit. With plenty to fill your holiday itinerary, making memories will be easy during your time at The Blue House.
