Snaptrip says

Amethyst Lodge is praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and peaceful setting, making it ideal for families and pet owners. Its proximity to beaches, forests, and town centres is appreciated, though some guests noted the walk to main facilities can be hazardous. The lodge's comfort and quiet location are recurrent positive themes.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the lodge clean and well-presented, though a few noted issues with cleanliness in specific areas such as the kitchen and fridge. The overall impression is positive, but there is room for improvement.

The lodge's location is generally seen as quiet and peaceful, close to local attractions. However, concerns about the safety of walking along the busy road to access main facilities have slightly affected the score.

Guests consistently describe the lodge as comfortable and well-furnished, with ample space for families. The presence of a travel cot and outdoor furniture adds to the comfort level.

While guests are pleased with the lodge's amenities, there are mixed reviews about the maintenance of facilities like the cooker and the presence of a broken blind. Due to insufficient information on the overall state of facilities and maintenance, a score cannot be provided.

The provision of dog treat packs and holiday park passes indicates thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

However having stayed at shorefield previously we felt a bit disappointed about the location. The listing for the lodge makes it appear to be near to the fishing pond but in actual fact is isolated from the main facilities. We had to get in the car to be able to get to the pond, swimming pool etc. as we have 2 small children and didn’t like the idea of walking along the busy road especially in the dark.

The walk to Shorefields was a bit treacherous in the dark but not an issue really

  • Christine

Cleanliness was okay but could be improved. Front door sticking as it has dropped on hinges. It was good that you could use the site facilities next door. We have stayed in better lodges for less.
