Farm shops, pubs, tea rooms, an excellent restaurant and a church are within 5 minutes of the property. There is a riding school nearby offering hacks across the forest for both the beginner and more experienced rider. Golf courses and water sports are also nearby. Shops, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Forest lodge is set in a very peaceful and secluded place, although it is small it certainly provides everything anyone would need to ensure a relaxing holiday. There's a very good farm shop down the road which is open 7 days a week, the produce is excellent. The wildlife is amazing roaming free around the village are lots of ponies, pigs, donkeys and deer, the birdlife is also amazing. Although not a problem for us, the path from the car to the lodge is quite steep so anyone who may have mobility problems may find it a challenge but we and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This was my 18th visit to Forest lodge which speaks volumes. Such a peaceful place where relaxation comes easily. Perfect for those who like to walk with their dogs, enjoy nature, take photos and finish the day with a good pub meal or a BBQ on the patio and glass of something bubbly on the swing seat.
