    Maritime Portsmouth and Southampton are within easy reach of this comfortable cottage which lies in the village of Hamble, known for its sailing and yachting.
    Offering a light and comfortable base from which to enjoy the wonderful sailing village of Hamble, S77446 is the ideal, detached, holiday home for families, groups or couples. The cosy living room has a wood burner, and the well-equipped kitchen leads to a conservatory/dining room. Beyond that is a decked sitting-out area where you can eat al fresco in warm weather! It is only a 5-minute walk from the marina, which has a bistro, and about a 10-minute walk from the historic village square with its famous quay (where you can hop on the pink ferry to Warsash!), various inns, a tea room and a few shops.
    The parish of Hamble has good rail links from its modest station to Southampton, London and Portsmouth. The village has played a significant role in the country’s aviation and maritime history, and there are few villages in Britain that can boast over the centuries to have had a priory, a Norman church and a castle. Today, Hamble is known as a sailing and yachting centre of excellence, and many people visit to enjoy the friendly community spirit and ambience. The property is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the area. There are popular destinations such as maritime Southampton and Portsmouth with historic ships, designer shopping, leisure facilities and ferries to the Isle of Wight; Winchester with its cathedral; Stonehenge; Paultons Park; Marwell Zoo with Peppa Pig World; excellent walking in the New Forest; Beaulieu Motor Museum; South Downs National Park, and the seaside resorts of Poole or Bournemouth, all of which are within easy driving distance. Another good excursion is to Netley Royal Victoria Park with its beaches and views of the Solent, or visit Manor Farm Country Park and Hampshire Strawberry Trail. Beach 1 mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

    "Great property on the edge of a beautiful village. S77446 is fully equipped with everything you could want, even including loads of soft blankets so you can snuggle up on the sofa by the log fire in the evening. We all had a great time, and the land lady was super helpful. Would recommend!"

    "The cottage is very well located close to the local shops and pubs - 10 mins slow walk to main square. I was big enough for the 9 of us without us all tripping over each other. Plenty of garden space to get out and enjoy the weather. The cottage is well equiped, a little tierd in places but that in no way detracted from our enjoyment. There is a couple of really steep stairs from the kitchen to the dinning area - which have baby gates on but could possibly do with a hand rail to assit elderly people. Situated on the main road you would imagine a bit more traffic noise - however it was very quiet - particularly as we used the back space more. I would definalty recommend the property and use it again."
