About this Holiday Cottage

Welcome to Russets Cottage at Sunnymead Farm Cottages near Ashdown Forest. Furnished to a high standard throughout, this delightful one bedroom property has a Gold Awards from Visit England with 4 Stars for the last 5 years.   We also have a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for Pippins 2018.

Inside

The cottage entrance opens into a fully fitted kitchen which has a full sized electric oven with rotisserie, a fridge/ freezer, microwave, dishwasher and automatic washer/ dryer. There is also plenty of china and extra chairs if you wish to entertain a few friends or family during your stay. The galleried sitting room is accessed via the original steep staircase from the kitchen and is furnished with a Sony 28" LCD TV, radio/ iPod dock, DVD player, books and games.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The bedroom features attractive oak furniture and has a king size (five foot) pocket sprung divan bed. There is also an LCD TV and radio/ iPod dock along with an ensuite bathroom containing a bath with a shower over. 

Outside

Guests can enjoy relaxing in the attractive garden with a seating area equipped with a barbecue and parasol. Ample car parking is onsite and bike storage facilities are available.

Other Things to Note

The rental charge includes full central heating and constant hot water. We also provide bed linen, towels, soaps, detergents, kitchen roll, a Radio Times and a welcome tray. Guests can choose either a summer or winter duvet and all bed linen is 100% cotton. 

A plentiful supply of maps and tourist information is available to help you plan your activities during your stay.  We also supply a pair of binoculars ideal for watching the wildlife as they visit the garden bird feeder.

Availability

The cottage is available for two night short breaks starting on either a Friday or Saturday, three night breaks commencing on a Friday and four night breaks starting on a Monday. Please note that we do not accept pets. 

Around and About

The cottage is set on the edge of Ashdown Forest and the surrounding area is ideal for both walkers and cyclists with the amenities of both Uckfield and Crowborough within easy reach. Our farm is also a haven for wildlife with deer, badgers, wild birds, owls, kingfishers, butterflies and moths to spot. A good pub serving food can also be found a short walk away.
