This detached country house is set in 300 acres of farmland and is a working sheep and cattle farm. It is located at the end of a private driveway and dates back to the 17th century with later extensions offering a more modern living space. The house offers great space for family groups or friends looking to enjoy a weekend away in the Sussex countryside. It has been set up with lots of space for entertaining children and young adults. Enclosed air source heated (May-October) pool, it is governed by an air source heat pump and it is usually comfortably warm from May to the end of October. open all year just outside conservatory with graduated entry for children, along with a sauna, fulled sized tennis table and a small football table. The views from the house and garden are stunning, reaching as far as the South Downs. There is walking from the doorstep with lots of attractions in the local area including castles and historic houses, gardens and local pubs.

we booked gildridge house for a faily get-together after lockdown. the size of the house and 4 ensuite rooms, with extra beds, was perfect for us. lovely quiet rural location. the covered pool was fantastic for the kids.
