Broad Oak is a charming village in the East Sussex district of Rother, situated between the coastal resort of Hastings and the Kent town of Ashford. The picturesque Broad Oak Park in the rural village is ideal for ramblers seeking leisurely walks through wildflowers, tall grasses, and greenery. It is also home to the Three Legs Brewing Company, which brews beer, discusses the brewing process, and offers tastings and cheese platters. The village is also home to convenience stores where you can stock up on necessities, as well as a dog-friendly pub that serves delicious meals and is excellent for a night out! Hastings, a coastal town just a short drive from Broad Oak, is famous for the 1066 war, is home to the Norman remnants of Hastings Castle, and offers breath-taking views of the English Channel. The seafront is also home to The True crime museum, miniature golf, the Blue Reef Aquarium, and an art gallery called Hastings Contemporary.

only 2 downsides - Kitchen/lounge too small and tiny TV in there, although bedroom one fine.

  • Andrew

The television in the lounge was very small and we often watched it on the bed as there was a much larger television there. There was a nice patio area to enjoy in good weather.

  • Judith

It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a great holiday in East Sussex. This lodge and 2 other larger lodges are situated on the owners land. The owner was very friendly and helpful, making us feel 'at home'. The location of the lodge is ideal to visit the many attractions in this area including several National Trust properties, the site of the Battle of Hastings, seaside towns, pretty villages and woodland walks. A great base for a great break!
