No where to put the washing up! The back yard was a bit over grown and untidy! No normal TV Channels had to login to my Netflix only! The smoke detector ran out of battery so I text the number I had and never heard back from them! Just lots a little things that could make our stay a little more comfortable.

This place offers just enough for a couple of nights stay, and I have based that on one person. Terrible wifi TalkTalk service- it was stronger and more reliable to hotspot from my phone. No washing machine when there is no suitable laundry in Rye to cover. No sharp knives and then no sharpener. Tiny fridge - how would manage with 6 people?! No draining board for washed up cutlery Luke warm hot water tap in bathroom with very poor pressure. Same for kitchen. Shower is very small and you step out to a steep drop. No toilet brush - for basic cleanliness. A general odour downstairs of wet dog. And at the end of the stay you need to strip beds and put washing in a pile, presumably to cut down the expense of a cleaning person. Hopefully these notes will be considered and help improve the place for others that pay to follow.

However the kitchen falls short if you want to cook at the house, there just aren’t enough saucepans (or big enough saucepans for a house that sleeps 6!) and we found that the larger bottom oven didn’t heat up just leaving us the small top oven to use. Would also have been nice if oven gloves were provided to make it safer. Also in the photos they have quite a large fridge freezer under the stairs which has now been replaced with a small under counter fridge freezer. Was also disappointed that there were no drinking glasses (apart from 3 wine glasses and 4 champagne flutes?!) but there was a supply of paper cups in the drawer - would have preferred proper glasses at my age! The bed and mattress in the largest bedroom was super uncomfortable and we had to move into the back bedroom which was a little better. The small shower room is small but ok. The lounge is really comfy, but I cannot imagine how you are supposed to sit 6 people - there are two 2 seat sofas and two footstools. It might also be nice if there was some privacy film on the lounge window as there is quite often traffic queuing outside and you feel like everyone is staring in. All this aside, it is a lovely little holiday house which I would recommend for 2-4 people, but definitely not for 6.
