Guests say

Yew Tree Farm is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, spaciousness, and welcoming touches such as a generous hamper and fresh flowers. The property's location is appreciated for its proximity to a pub and play area, and the farm adds a charming element. Comfort is highlighted with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but overall the property is celebrated for hosting large groups and providing a memorable stay.

Guests consistently report the property as spotless and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about minor cleaning oversights. The overall high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to the guest experience.

The property's location is frequently praised for its great spot, proximity to a pub, and a play area for children. The added bonus of a farm at the back enhances the rural appeal. The location seems to be a strong asset for the property.

Comfort is a strong point with guests finding the beds comfortable and the house warm and inviting. The presence of a hot tub and the spaciousness of the property contribute to a comfortable stay, despite a mention of a damp smell in one room.

Facilities are generally well-regarded with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken dishwasher rack and a faulty sink, which slightly detract from the overall high standard.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of welcome hampers, fresh flowers, and Easter eggs for children. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Couldn't be better for out large family

  • Freddie

Even though it's a very large house, the whole place felt very warm and cosy and welcoming. The basket of goodies we received upon arrival was a really lovely touch and much appreciated. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, and we greatly enjoyed the added Christmas decor. The decoration on the Christmas trees were a little strange and haphazard but it was still nice to have them there! The kitchen was very well supplied which made cooking very easy, but we did have a number of issues with the dishwasher not working properly. We were unable to find a vacuum cleaner, though we aren't sure whether it was just difficult to find or if there wasn't one available on site. The starter for the wood burning stove was a nice touch as well, though it could have done with a little more paper/cardboard/ kindling and less plastic. Bathrooms and bedrooms were all very clean, tidy and spacious. Parking was occasionally shared with the farm during the week which wasn't an issue for us as the majority of our party arrived on the weekend once they left. A highlight was meeting the lovely cat from the farm who was very friendly and sweet. We would definitely come back again for a special occasion or cosy winter getaway. Thank you for a great stay!

The property was very spacious, warm and well appointed. It had a homely feel and a brilliant time was had. Some of my crazy friends even used the hot tub in late November! The owner was very helpful, especially when I left an item behind. He also provided a lovely welcome hamper which was appreciated. An important note is that there is a toilet on the ground floor. I thought that important to note as I thought there wasn’t, so was very happy to find that as we were using both downstairs bedrooms. Highly recommended this property. It made my 50th Birthday celebrations very special indeed.
