About this property

Resting within striking distance of the South Coast and the endearing New Forest National Park is Field View, a charming single-storey cottage, situated within the village of Burton. With its great positioning, close to the likes of Christchurch and the popular resort town of Bournemouth, this is a rare find for beachcombers and families to call home as they explore this part of Dorset. Enter into the detached property and make your way into the large sitting room, where the plush leather sofas with sumptuous cushions invite you to unwind in front of the TV, whilst the electric fire fills the room with warmth, creating a tranquil space in which to relax at the end of each day. From here, discover the well-equipped kitchen, containing everything you could possibly need to cater your own delicious meals and accompanied by a small dining table, where two can savour a glass of wine while dinner simmers on the hob. Within the living/dining room, there is a larger dining table, which can host the entire group to relish in each other’s company over a home-cooked dish or a tasty takeaway from the village. Joining the dining table is a further seating area, featuring a single sofa bed for any additional guests and a TV, which is perfect for the younger guests of the group to escape to. As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the three bedrooms, where the master suite boasts a king-size bedroom with plenty of storage space and a full-length mirror, whilst bedroom two boasts a double bed and the final bedroom is complete with twin beds and overlooking views of the garden. Wake up each morning and look forward to taking your morning cup on tea to the conservatory, where you can savour the sunshine as the children and canine companions play on the large lawn area. Come evening, head out onto the patio area where chairs allow you to enjoy a glass of wine or two, whilst sat beneath the evening sun, bliss! Just moments away are a selection of two pubs and a convenience store, as well as a number of local businesses. Whilst just over a mile away is Christchurch, where you will find a plethora of eateries, ranging from an ice cream by the sea to evening dining at a restaurant to an afternoon chippy tea at the Quayside, there is certainly something for all here. Better acquaint yourself with your surroundings by talking a walk along the two rivers before brushing up on the history with a visit to the historic Priory Church, which is one of the few monastery churches to have survived Henry VIII’s rule and the ruins of the castle, which was built in the late 11th century. Take the children down to the four-mile long coast and spend the day at one of the many nearby beaches, where the waters of the Solent are glistening in the sun and offer sweeping views all the way over to the Isle of Wight. Alternatively, visit the numerous nature reserves within the area or travel to the New Forest National Park, where you will find plenty of walking opportunities for the whole family to enjoy time together in the fresh air! Other local attractions include the ALTITUDE High Ropes Adventure and Adventure Wonderland or travel further afield to Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway. With so much to do within the area, you and your loved ones are sure to have an action-packed holiday at Field View
