Blackbird Lodge is set within a development of contemporary eco-lodges at Strawberryfield Park, nestled on the fringe of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the perfect setting to enjoy tranquil countryside views.
Internally, Blackbird Lodge has an ultra-modern look and is furnished to the highest standard throughout. The spacious living areas are made to feel bright and airy with the large windows and glass doors providing ample natural light. On the colder evenings, warm yourself up using the state of the art wood burning stove - perfect for a cozy winter break.
Externally, the lodge features a private decked area complete with a hot tub. This is a wonderful spot to sit in the afternoon sunshine with lunch, or simply relax in the hot tub after a day of exploring the local area.
Strawberryfield Park is perfectly positioned for exploring everything Somerset has to offer. The historic City of Wells is within easy reach, famous for its Cathedral, Bishops Place and Market Square along with the beautiful City of Bath. Also near by is Cheddar Gorge, the gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be over 9,000 years old was found in 1903. You'll also be a short drive away from Wookey Hole Caves and Longleat House and Safari Park. For those looking to make the most of the sun, you can also escape to the coast in next to no time at all with Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea both close by. With all these brilliant places on your doorstep you'll never be short on things to do.

We've had an amazing time. The lodge is stunning - so comfortable with everything we needed and more!! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, just what was needed after a long day sight seeing. This is out first holiday booked through Blue Chip and if they are all like this we'll definitely be using them again! Thank you

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your superb lodge. Our Cocker Spaniel Sam loved it especially being able to run off some energy in the orchard and making new doggy friends. Everything in the lodge has been finished to a high standard and all fiztures and fittings are of exceptional quality. Everything was spotless and all of the little extras like the welcome vbasket, dishwasher tablets and even the dog bowls had been thought through. Loved the hot tub! The Cider Barn 'Early Doors' was also a wonderfully friendly place, staff and locals alike all seemed to want to engage with visitors - the Draycott Blue Ploughmans was fab! Even the on site builders were courteous. All in all top notch!

What a beautiful place to stay! The lodge itself is wonderful; my husband has particularily loved the hot tub! We've enjoyed walks around Cheddar Gorge and Black Rock with our labrador. We all enjoyed the cheese! Thank you for providing beautiful accommodation that is both luxurios and dog friendly! We'll be recommending Blackbird Lodge to our friends.
