Soudley is a small village in North East Shropshire, 2 miles from Cheswardine and 7 miles from Newport. Soudley lies close to the border with Staffordshire and is surrounded by farmland and unspoilt countryside. Nearby Market Drayton is well-known for hosting a lively weekly market, and the town centre itself has a variety of delightful 16th and 17th century half-timbered buildings, including many restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. Close by is Newport with its Newport Showground, Harper Adam University, and Western Park is within reach. Also nearby is Ellesmere, with beautiful meres (lakes) and a variety of National Trust mansions and gardens to visit, including, Hodnet Hall, Attingham, Hawkstone Park, Wollerton Gardens and Tatton Park.
