To the outside of the cottage is off road parking and shared use of a lawned garden with a patio and garden furniture. One double bedroom with sloping ceiling and low beam, accessed via steep stairs. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Well-equipped fitted kitchen. Cosy sitting room with dining area and stone floors, overlooking the garden.

Around and About

Winkhill is a tiny hamlet close to the Peak District National Park, two miles from the village of Waterhouses. Waterhouses has shops, pubs and eateries, and also offers access to the Manifold Trail, a long, flat track along the former railway line, much used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The Alton Towers Theme Park is a short drive away, and the rest of the Peak District National Park is on the doorstep.

The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
