About this property

Leek 3.7 miles. Resting within picture-perfect countryside in the peaceful village of Bradnop in Derbyshire is this single-storey lodge, Brambles Lodge. Perfect for a small family, a couple, or friends, this lodge had a decking area with a hot tub for the warmer months, and a toasty woodburning stove for the cooler months, making it the ideal choice all year around. In 2021 - 2022 Visit England awarded it their celebrated gold award! An open-plan living space provides a sitting area with a TV for when it is time to cosy up, along with a pull-out dining area, and a compact yet well-equipped kitchen where you can rustle up your picnics. Two bedrooms, a double and twin, offer a space to rest your head before another adventurous day. Completing the interior is an integrated shower room for rinsing off after a day of walking or cycling. Outside, dine alfresco with a stunning view, or while away some time in the babbling hot tub as the sun goes down. Choose Brambles Lodge for a peaceful break to Derbyshire. Note: This property can be booked with Ref: 1109077 & 1109078 & 1109079 together sleeping up to 12 guests.

The hillside market town of Leek, known as "The Queen of the Moorlands," is located on the western side of The Peaks. The town's attractive cobblestone market centre and excellent Victorian architecture influenced by William Morris are reminders of its success as a silk manufacturing powerhouse. Today, Leek has antique emporiums, restaurants, a park, leisure facilities, and real ale pubs. Leek is adjacent to Three Shires Head, the meeting place of Cheshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire, and Chatsworth House, Buxton Opera House, and Gawsworth Hall are nearby.

neither of us were able to sleep the whole time we were there. we even contemplated leaving early. it had the noisiest duvet!!! and I was allergic to the pillows. the hot tub was in a wind tunnel and when it was blowing strong we couldn't go in. apart from that, the views were breath taking, and the owner was extremely friendly

The view from the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely go again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see even a cloth stand with pegs and a hair dryer provided. The sofa was very comfortable. The bathroom was more spacious than we expected in a pod and there was a very clever dining table set. It was a cozy stay. We loved having the chickens around - felt close to nature. The only points of improvement would be : The double bed mattress was very cheap, springy and least comfortable after a long day of physical activity. The hot tub was hands down the star attraction of our stay but it felt pretty wasteful for it to be ON the whole time. If the energy used there had a switch control in the pod, it could be used for something else or saved when the hot tub is not in use. The WiFi was useless. Thankfully we had lots of mobile data so didn't affect us but would warn prospective guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and if you get it an affordable price, it's well worth it.
