A charming semi-detached barn conversion, situated next to the owners farmhouse on their working sheep farm, in the small, rural hamlet of Ollerbrook, just 10 minutes' walk from the lovely village of Edale. Skilfully converted by local craftsmen, this 17th century former working barn is the ideal base for a couple on a romantic retreat or a small family looking to enjoy all that the beautiful Peak District National Park has to offer. Boasting oak beams and stonework, this welcoming cottage is set over two floors, with an open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area on the ground floor, whilst on the upper floor are two bedrooms and a shower room. Outside is a patio area, so relax and sit back with a cold drink on a summers evening. Walks and cycle routes can be found in the area, plus the valley of Edale is waiting to be explored, as is the spa town of Buxton, Chatsworth House and many other places of interest nearby. A cottage with plenty of character in great surroundings.
The lovely High Peaks village of Edale is the start of the Pennine way and liesat the foot of Kinder Scout. It has two pubs, and one of them, The Nags Head, is usually accepted as the start of The Pennine Way walk. With credentials like these it's little wonder that the area attracts so many walkers, and they won't be disappointed. The village has a general store combined with a post office and a Moorland Visitor Centre. Castleton is only four miles away and is a village that has something for everyone, a ruined Norman Castle, Blue John caves and all under the auspicious gaze of Mam Tor, "The Shivering Mountain." All in all the charming village of Edale is a fabulous holiday location.

There were plenty of walking trails and a great pub just a short walk away. The views of the fields and mountains from the cottage were amazing. The hosts were very friendly and kept the place really nice, including decorations for the holiday season. We hope to stay there again on a future trip! Thanks!
Andrea
The owners of the cottage were extremely accommodating and thanks to their understanding, we were able to rent the property at the right dates for us. A lovely place for a lovely holiday.
