As new dog owners ( Greyhound) we were delighted with our stay in this cottage. The courtyard is secure, it's also a nice suntrap for sitting with a glass of wine - thank you for that :). The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and it was the best equipped kitchen we've been in - we've used Cottages.com for more than 20 years. The access road is best from the Buxworth Basin/canal road. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the welcome pack was impressive. Thank you, we'll be back.

I have stayed at this cottage a few times over the last few years. The cottage has a friendly feel, is warm and comfortable and ideally placed for exploring the beautiful countryside. Liz, the host, is very friendly and helpful and provides lots of goodies including wine, tea, coffee, cream cakes, butter, bread and lots more , even treats for the dog. I most certainly do recommend Silk Hill Cottages.
