Lovely clean, cozy cottage within easy reach of local amenities and attractions of the Peak District. Bed very comfy and lots of blankets available. Limited cooking facilities due to only having combi microwave/grill and we couldn’t get it to work properly despite the instructions so ate out most of the time.

We booked for a 3 nights break to recharge and relax which was very much needed. Redmonds Retreat was a beautiful cosy house with everything you could possibly need and perfect for us and the dog! We had some lovely walks and wonderful meals in the local pubs. They only downfall was that new owners had just moved in next door and spent most of the weekend knocking out the fireplace which was noisy at the times we were in. Saying that we did understand there was nothing the owners could have done regarding this but it did effect our break. Also if you do book be aware that you should park outside No1 next door not in front of Redmonds No2 as the owners (new ones) No3 need 2 spaces!
