The rustic exterior is shifted as soon as you step into the contemporary open-plan room, a large studio layout space in an 'L-shape', with quirky lighting, wood laminate flooring, a bespoke king-size bed, dining and a kitchen area. Make use of the wall-mounted, swing out Smart TV, complemented with a Sonos speaker and sky channels, you can enjoy a film either tucked up in bed on a lazy morning, or with a bottle of wine on the plush sofa of an evening, there's also a selection of games and books to keep you entertained on a rainy day. The king-size bed is situated next to natural light seeping in through the bay windows, as well as handy reading lights on each side of the bed for a late night read. Throw together a fantastic home-cooked meal in the state-of-the-art kitchen, equipped with a washer/dryer, microwave, fridge with Ice box, oven and hob, all surrounded by elegant decór and sleek fittings. Start your day right in the splendid shower room, a wet room style space with an extremely spacious walk-in shower, accompanied by a funky heated towel rail, an illuminated recess wall and mirror for extra brightness, and an alternative obscured glass window to the side. Whaley Bridge town centre is just a short stroll away with a range of convenience stores for you to stock up on snacks, as well as local pubs and a few takeaways for a date night inside when you don't feel like cooking. The historic town of Chapel-en-le-Frith is recognised as the Capital of the Peak, home to a wide selection of boutique shops, lovely cafés, supermarkets, and a golf club, as well as a 13th Century Church, the 18th Century Church Brow, and the Market Place with stocks and ancient cross. Take a short drive over to New Mills, a thriving town boasting an arts centre, leisure facilities, children's amusement centre, and a train station with links to Buxton and Manchester Picadilly. For a day of adventure, climb Eccles Pike, an isolated hill with stunning landscape views of the Dark Peak summits, alternatively, avid ramblers can challenge themselves to the Kinder’s moorland plateau as a starting point to the Pennine Way or Snake Pass. This cottage is a lovely base to visit surrounding Peak District villages such as Bakewell, Ashbourne, and visit landmark attractions including the dramatic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, limestone caves at Blue John Cavern. Whaley Bridge is a small town recognised as the Gateway to the Goyt Valley, steeped in history with a Grade II listed Transhipment Warehouse situated next to a wide selection of boutique shops, restaurants, local pubs, as well as holiday annual events including Whaley Water Weekend. Nearby destinations worth visiting include the market town of Chapel-en-le-Frith, the spa town of Buxton, the Blue John Cavern at Castleton, and Chatsworth House stately home.
