Guests say

Town End Barn in Buxton is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped nature. Guests enjoy the local walks accessible directly from the property and appreciate the friendly owners. The homemade jam and baked goods provided by the hosts are a delightful touch. Some guests noted an unusual layout, but this did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The cottage is consistently described as spotless, indicating a high level of cleanliness that guests are very satisfied with.

The property's location is highly praised for its countryside setting and direct access to local footpaths, making it ideal for walking without the need for a car.

The furniture is described as comfortable, and the provision of good showers and plenty of hot water contributes to a comfortable stay. However, the layout with a bathroom on the ground floor may affect comfort for some.

The cottage is well-equipped, with great parking and good showers. A boiler issue was promptly resolved, showing good maintenance, but the layout issue and the temporary boiler problem slightly lower the score.

Guests were touched by the thoughtful goodies provided by the hosts, such as homemade jam and cakes. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, although lovely, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Lovely cottage, good sized for 4 people, spotless, comfortable furniture, well equipped, good showers, plenty of hot water. We loved the local walks and that you could walk from the house without using the car. Very friendly owners. One thing, and it's not mentioned in the description, you have to walk through the ground floor bathroom to get to the stairs to the living room and upper bedroom - bit of an odd layout and could be an issue if you want to get a coffee in the morning without disturbing the other occupants.

    Great place

Town End Barn is lovely, as are the hosts: Michelle & Tim. It is situated right in the countryside and you can walk out of the house straight into the local footpath network. We were able to do lots of walking in the area without having to drive very far. Really appreciated the goodies provided by the hosts, especially the home made jam. There was a problem with the boiler but hosts managed to get it resolved by the next day (this is main reason why we have not given more 5 stars). We had a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend Town End Barn as a great place to stay.
