We thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Calf Shed. So much to explore. Chelmorton is a lovely friendly village with an excellent pub. If you like hiking, cycling or just a gentle stroll theres plenty for everyone. The Monsal trail is just a few miles away and plenty of parking too. This is just one of the many routes to explore. We will definitely be back.

Great week in the Calf Shed. Owners on hand, friendly & not intrusive. Well equipped right down to an air fryer if you intend on cooking for yourselves. We ate our main meals out, originally planning to use a different venue each day, but after eating at the pub virtually next door on the first full day there, we ate there 4 days it was that good. The area is great for walks of all abilities. The only improvements are down to personal comfort & you can't cater for all, but maybe main one is the main room lighting, whilst comforting and warm is not great for kitchen prep when dark outside.
