An ideal base for exploring the Buxton and Bakewell area. Facilities and accommodation were as described. Host was welcoming. We did experience some noise from the rooms above, but bearing in mind you are in effect staying in part of the owners home, this is to be expected. Would stay again.

Spacious apartment in a quiet location. Because the trees a bit dark inside but there was enough lightning. The kitchen was fully equipped with the much needed washing machine but it is good to know that there is no coffeemachine or a cafetiere. We were glad that we brought our own. There was a nice welcome package and the wood burner was ready for burning.Like another reviewer said we also heard people walking above us and a child running. That was just for the first couple of days.It is also good to know that there is Wifi but a bit on and off. The reason why we probably won’t book this apartment again is personal: the bed was to firm for us. We haven’t slept as good as we could have on this quiet location.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful old building in a peaceful location. Would highly recommend. Not good for those who might have mobility issues as there are a few stone steps to contend with before entering apartment. Missed not having a dish washer but not a big issue. The wifi was a bit hit and miss at times. (Little or no phone signal) these were not a huge problem for us. Owner left us bread, milk, eggs and a few chocolates which was a lovely touch. The only thing that we did find a bit of an annoyance was noise from the room above. Sounded like a child running about at times which also occurred during the night. Footsteps woke us up on a couple of occasions.
