The cottage itself had everything we needed during our stay, very friendly and helpfull hosts. Groceries and eating out just a few miles away in Buxton. From the cottage its easy to reach starting points for walks in this great area.

A farm next door which has a lot of smell coming everyday. When we came a dog came up to us and started barking at us without a lead and my wife who was pregnant had to rush inside. We expected a warm welcome but all we got was nods and waves from the owners (maybe they were busy with their work). Some dishes were unclean. Hoover didnât work properly. Shower is small for anyone but especially for someone who is 6 foot but is still doable. The views from the cottage were really nice. Other than that it was a okay stay and the usual facilities were still available. We got warm welcomes and waves from a horse and cows everyday. Would not come back again.

Loved the location on a working farm. Having the opportunity to help with the milking was a brilliant experience. Owners were friendly and helpful.
