Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches, making it an ideal base for exploring nearby towns and countryside. The property is comfortable and homely, with easy access to walks and local attractions. Some guests noted firm mattresses, minor maintenance issues, and the lack of a fully enclosed garden for dogs, but these did not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The cottage is highly recommended for families, walkers, and those seeking a relaxing rural retreat.

Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotlessly clean and well-presented, with no significant complaints about cleanliness.

The location is frequently described as excellent, peaceful, and ideal for exploring the Peak District, with beautiful views and convenient access to local towns and walks.

Guests found the cottage comfortable and homely, though several mentioned the mattresses were quite firm and a few noted minor issues with bathroom sinks and stairs.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and for thoughtful amenities like EV charging. Minor suggestions included adding a few kitchen items and addressing maintenance issues such as a dripping tap and weak stair treads.

An exceptionally nice, clean cottage. Very isolated but with stunning views and perfect if you want peace and quiet. The stairs need fixing as 2 of the treads are weak and springy and a constant dripping tap which is easier to fix. A larger mirror in the bedroom, possibly on the wall would have helped.

We had a lovely stay here. The cottages views were gorgeous and we had lovely weather most of the 3 nights stay so got to enjoy these even if inside as was very cold and windy. There is a seating area outside though which at another time would be lovely. There was everything we needed to cook meals with but we also got a takeaway chinese from Buxton which was about a 15 minute drive. Our only negative is that all the mattresses are rather hard but we would return. We would however return.
