Middle Peak View is an absolutely wonderful cottage looking out over the valley towards the little historic town of Wirksworth. The classy interior is beautifully furnished and decorated with its lounge gathered round the log burning stove, cosy sitting room, light and airy dining room and really well equipped kitchen. Add the luxury bedrooms, superb bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower, downstairs cloakroom and a lovely sunny patio and garden and you will realise this is a very special place.

Jumbles of cottages, secret alleyways, and sleepy cats on Aubretia clad walls sum up Wirksworth. It's a great place to explore with interesting local shops, traditional pubs, good restaurants and the heritage centre and trail. Mercia is our favourite bistro but you might also like to try Le Mistral restaurant. The Fish Bar, Balti and Chinese are perfect for takeaways. There is even the amazing Northern Lights little cinema.

Numerous walks radiate right from the cottage door and local treats include rides on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, wandering around Carsington Reservoir, cycling out along the High Peak Trail or perhaps exploring industrial revolution Cromford. Wider horizons encompass all the Peak District's attractions from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall to Matlock Bath's cable cars and the National Tramway Museum.

Cottage facilities:

A superb lounge with glowing log burning stove, T.V., DVD, Netflix and WiFi. A cosy sitting room. A lovely dining room. A modern kitchen with bespoke units, hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and automatic washer/dryer. A wonderful double bedroom with views over the valley. A second double bedroom of the same high quality and views. An attractive bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower and W.C. A downstairs cloakroom with W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a lovely garden and patio with furniture. Parking is in on the quiet lane right outside the cottage. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
