The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. To the north are the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park - not to be missed!

This property is well situated for Matlock and Matlock Bath. If walking into Matlock be aware it is towards the top of quite a hill! Greatly positioned for all the great places like Chatsworth and Bakewell etc.

Parking ( there is parking for one but if two cars came along there is no room for another car) the advert says first come first served not true, cars parking all over the place in the small road causing problems advert needs to be changed by sykes. Yes would stay there again, clean, tidy, everything there that is required. Easy location of all areas and the dog enjoyed himself.

Property was clean and comfortable and owner was very helpful. Unfortunately wound not be able to stay again as the garden is not enclosed for small dog. It had a short barrier you could put across one section of the garden but my small dog (pug) was easily able to get underneath. This meant we were unable to open the door at any time as the dog could escape onto main road close by. Feel Sykes should change the wording in this listing as is not an enclosed garden.
