Step through the front garden, where seating and characterful details create an appealing first impression, before entering a handy hall for coats and walking boots after days spent exploring the countryside. The living/dining room invites you to gather beside the gas woodburning stove, with a Smart TV for relaxed evenings and a dining table ready for shared meals.

Continue through to the kitchen/diner, where everything needed for a self-catered break is close to hand, from an electric oven and hob to a washer/dryer and coffee maker. The conservatory looks out over the walled courtyard garden, offering an extra place to sit with a morning drink, plan the day, or let children play by your side. Upstairs, two good sized double bedrooms provide inviting spaces to unpack, for added flexibility with sleeping arrangements there is a single chair bed in the second double room, along with a sofa bed downstairs, both rooms can easily accommodate a travel cot, the compact fully tiled bathroom offers bath for a soak and full sized walk in power shower .

Make use of the garden offering a place for dogs to settle after a countryside walk. There are many local walks to be enjoyed straight from the door step along with a handy children's play park a few minutes walk away. A short walk less than a mile away you can visit the nearest local shop in Winster, taking in a heritage stroll up the windy lanes to the Miners Arms pub for a lunch, before a short stroll following the Limestone Way footpath back to Sunnyside for a cup of tea. The property offers an excellent location and places the Peak District beautifully at your feet, with walks leading towards Elton Moor, Catcliffe Rocks, Robin Hood’s Stride, Stanton Moor, and the historical Nine Ladies Stone Circle.

Head to Bakewell to wander independent shops, sample its famous pudding, and stroll along the River Wye, or visit Chatsworth House for its grand state rooms, gardens, farmyard, and adventure playground. Matlock and nearby Matlock Bath offer riverside walks, the Heights of Abraham cable cars, and family-friendly attractions, these sought after locations are all within a 15 minute drive. Buxton offers elegant architecture, the Pavilion Gardens, and the Crescent. Quirky Wirksworth and Cromford  both with heritage centres are also close by and worth a visit. Surrounded  by limestone dales, craggy moorlands ,historic houses and charming  local villages and towns , Sunnyside is a lovely base for discovering all the Peak District has to offer.

The small peaceful village of Elton is situated in a superb elevated position on the White Peak Plateau, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. More than 900ft above sea level and with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, the village is a popular centre for walkers, lying within a few miles of the Tissington and High Peak walking/cycling trails and The Limestone Way. Just 1 mile away is the pretty village of Winster, famous for its Morris dancers, Wakes festivities (every June) and annual Shrove Tuesday pancake race - a fascinating spectacle and well worth a visit! Bakewell, Chatsworth, Matlock, Buxton and Castleton, along with the cities of Sheffield and Derby are all within driving distance.
