Snaptrip says

The Lillies is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its spaciousness, warmth, and ideal location for exploring the Peak District. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the extra touches like Christmas decorations. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness points were raised, the overall experience is one of satisfaction, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness is generally good, with several reviews mentioning the property as 'spotlessly clean' and 'well maintained'. However, there are comments about the need for a deeper clean in some bathrooms, and some guests noted issues with stained bedding and mildew, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for being perfect, with easy access to local attractions and towns like Bakewell and Matlock. Some guests mentioned road noise and a busy front road, but these were not seen as major detractions from the overall positive location experience.

Comfort is consistently highlighted, with guests finding the beds surprisingly comfortable and the house cosy and warm. The spaciousness for large groups adds to the comfort level. Some guests suggested additional showers for convenience, and a few mentioned noisy bedroom floors, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and extra fridge being particularly appreciated. However, some guests reported issues with appliances like the dishwasher and toaster, and suggested improvements such as additional bins and better parking arrangements, which affects the score.

Thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of welcome packs, Christmas decorations, and responsive owners. These gestures contribute to a positive guest experience. It is noted that such gifts enhance stays, though they are not guaranteed and may vary.

A member of the group had stayed in Torestyn next door a few times previously and recommended either cottage would be good. Plenty of seats in the lounge for us all. Higher back support sofas would have been even better. Very well equipped throughout, warm and comfortable. Having 2 fridges was a bonus as we were out during the day but were able to take a good supply of food and drink for evenings. Another shower would be great. There are 2 and 2 baths but a larger number of adults would benefit from an additional shower. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of space throughout the house. Although the house is close to a busy road the noise is minimal. The location was perfect for us, giving us easy access to Bakewell, Chatsworth, shops etc. Parking could be a little difficult if both houses had a larger number of cars to park but there are additional spaces available to both round the back. Already booked for later in the year,

We were three families (six adults and five children) and the sleeping accommodation was excellent. Plenty toilets throughout the house. The living room and kitchen could comfortably fit us all. The children loved the cubby holes in the top floor eaves (which are clean and carpeted) they made great little dens. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking full family meals. Great bus links into the local towns where there were lots of lovely things to do. The only (and tiny!) suggestion for improvement would be some blankets in the living room - not because it was cold, purely for snuggling up in the evening. An absolutely fantastic house - would very happily book it again.
